High-pressure gas cylinders are all kinds of compressed gas cylinders used in the laboratory. The correct use of high-pressure gas cylinders is one of the necessary conditions to ensure safety in experimental operation.
1.Precautions for handling and storage of high-pressure gas cylinders:
(1) when moving and storing the gas cylinder, the gasket shall be installed and the safety cap shall be tightened to protect the on-off valve, prevent its accidental rotation and reduce collision.
(2) when handling cylinders filled with gas, it is best to use a special trolley, also can be carried by hand or vertical rotation. However, it is never allowed to move the switch valve by hand.
(3) gas cylinders filled with gas should be properly fixed during loading and transportation to avoid rolling collision on the way; When loading and unloading trucks, they should be lifted and put lightly. Throwing, sliding or other methods that are easy to cause collision are prohibited.
(4) gas cylinders (such as hydrogen and oxygen cylinders) filled with gases that may cause combustion and explosion after contact with each other shall not be carried or stored in the same place with the vehicle or mixed with other inflammable and explosive materials.
(5) if the cylinder body is defective, the safety accessories are incomplete or damaged, and the safe use cannot be guaranteed, it must not be sent to fill the gas again, and it should be sent to the relevant units for inspection before use.
